Health Promoter Training

Discover your capacity and ability to learn, teach, organize and promote community wellness; become one of our Health Promoters through our Health Promoter Training Course!

Course topics include personal development, alcohol and drug abuse, maternal and infant health, nutrition and cardiovascular health, cancer, home remedies, diabetes, and much much more!

Participants will empower themselves while they learn how to prepare and provide presentations in order to and share the information that they have learned with family, friends, coworkers, and classmates.

Course lasts 3-1/2 months, and is taught once a week for 2 hours. At the end of the course, participants receive a certificate recognizing them as a Community Health Promoter.

Descubra su capacidad y habilidad para aprender, enseñar, organizar y promover la salud comunitaria; Asista al curso de Promotores de Salud y al final recibirá un certificado como Promotor de Salud Comunitaria.
El curso incluye temas como: superación personal, abuso de alcohol y drogas, salud materno/infantil, nutrición y salud del corazón, cáncer, remedios caseros, diabetes y mucho mucho más.
Al participar usted podrá identificar sus fortalezas, así como su potencial. Aprenda como preparar y dar presentaciones para poder compartir la informacíon con la familia, amigos, compañeros del trabajo y en la escuela.

El curso dura tres meses y medio y se da un día a la semana.

Health Promoter Conference
April 17, 2010

"Nuestro Mundo, Nuestra Dignidad, y Nuestra Vida: Luchando por un Futuro Mejor" will take place at Erie Neighborhood House in Chicago. The conference is co-sponsored by Centro San Bonifacio and the Daniel and Karen May Foundation.

The conference will discuss health and human rights in the context of the current environmental crisis of climate change (global warming).

Experts and community workers will explore the challenges and successes experienced daily as we work towards better health, increased individual and community dignity, and a connection with our traditions and ancestral heritage.

We will look at the global forces that affect us as well as the things we can do every day that affect our environment.
