Health Promoter Conference

"Nuestro Mundo, Nuestra Dignidad, y Nuestra Vida: Luchando por un Futuro Mejor" se llevara acabo en Erie Neighborhood House en Chicago. La conferencia esta co-patrocinada por Centro San Bonifacio y la Fundación Daniel y Karen May.
"Nuestro Mundo, Nuestra Dignidad, y Nuestra Vida: Luchando por un Futuro Mejor" will take place at Erie Neighborhood House in Chicago. The conference is co-sponsored by Centro San Bonifacio and the Daniel and Karen May Foundation.
La conferencia explorara la salud y los derechos humanos en contexto con la crisis del medio ambiente y los cambios climáticos.
The conference will discuss health and human rights in the context of the current environmental crisis of climate change (global warming).
Expertos y trabajadores comunitarios, explorarán los retos y los éxitos que experimentamos diariamente en la búsqueda de una mejor salud y la dignidad individual y comunitaria, que son nuestra herencia ancestral. Lograremos entender las fuerzas globales que nos afectan, y lo que todos podemos hacer en nuestra vida cotidiana para hacer un cambio.
Experts and community workers will explore the challenges and successes experienced daily as we work towards better health, increased individual and community dignity, and a connection with our traditions and ancestral heritage. We will look at the global forces that affect us as well as the things we can do every day that affect our environment.

Alive at 25

Centro San Bonifacio will be hosting
the "Alive at 25" Defensive Driving Course. The course will be in English.
This course is will help you:
Recognize that people form ages 14-25 are most likely than others to be injured or killed in a vehicle crash,
describe the consequencees of making poor judgements or taking unnecessary risks in the vehicle and identify actions you can take to keep contraol whether you are a driver or a passenger in a vehicle.
